While most are familiar with the woody honeysuckle vine they are not the only honeysuckle that has uses in the landscape. Another formerly common specie of honeysuckle is the Tartarian honeysuckle. Growing to be approximately the size of the common Lilac, these woody shrubs make a great windbreak or informal hedge.

Lonicera tatarica 'Honeyrose'
Honeyrose Honeysuckle is smothered in stunning ruby-red flowers with yellow anthers along the branches in late spring. It features an abundance of magnificent red berries from mid to late summer. It has green foliage throughout the season. The oval leaves do not develop any appreciable fall color.

Tall growing climber developed by F. L. Skinner of Dropmore, Manitoba. Bright orange-scarlet tubular flowers from June to September. Attractive, rounded green foliage. Full sun or shade.
